Arista Foods is among the seafood suppliers that Sysco Corp. recognized earlier this month as part of its 2010 Supplier of the Year awards.
The Wilton, Conn., company was among Sysco’s 10 gold-star recipients, ranking No. 3 behind Sanderson Farms of Laurel, Miss., and Pacific Coast Producers of Lodi, Calif. Founded in 1930, Arista Foods has been one of Sysco’s top 100 performing suppliers for the past five years.
Among the seafood companies honored by the Houston-based foodservice-distribution giant were silver-star recipient Devi Seafoods of Perth Amboy, N.J., and bronze-star recipients Phillips Foods of Baltimore, Trident Seafoods of Seattle, Slade Gorton & Co. of Boston, Rich Products Corp. of Buffalo (Rich SeaPak), Northern Wind of New Bedford, Mass., and Harvest Select of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
The 16th annual awards were presented at Sysco’s Super Regional Conference held in Houston on 1 February.
