A planned labor strike by Airport Police at the non-Schengen travellers’ border control in Brussels appears to have been called off.
No official statement has been released, but the Brussels Airport is no longer carrying information on the planned strike on its website. The police were threatening to slow down customs processing from 20 to 24 April, coinciding with Seafood Expo Global 2015.
A national strike planned to begin Wednesday 22 April is expected to impact public transportation, including train and bus service. Show organizers are providing city and airport shuttles during the show, with an expanded alternative transportation service and schedule on Wednesday 22 April 2015.
