More than 100 jobs at a west Cumbrian fish factory remain under threat despite the company being rescued from administration two weeks ago.
Cumbrian Seafoods was bought by the owner of fisheries giant Young’s Seafood just hours after the company had slumped into administration on December 5.
The deal appeared to have saved the jobs of 117 people at its Whitehaven factory.
But Young’s has since admitted it has yet to decide on the future of the site or its sister operations in Seaham, County Durham, and Amble, in Northumberland.
