Darden Restaurants, owner of Red L obster, announced the promotion of Will Setliff to senior VP and CMO.
Setliff will be responsible for strengthening overall marketing excellence, elevating marketing innovation to drive long-term growth and directing marketing talent management. He has more than 20 years of experience, joining Darden last year as the specialty restaurant group’s executive VP of marketing. Prior to that, Setliff served as senior VP of marketing for Target.
Darden also announced new brand presidents for Olive Garden and LongHorn Steakhouse. Effective 14 January, Dave George will be president of Olive Garden and Valerie Insignares as president of LongHorn.
Darden also announced that John Caron, most recent president of Olive Garden has decided to leave the company.
