Decker Named High Liner President, COO

High Liner Foods of Nova Scotia today announced Keith Decker has been named president and COO of High Liner Foods USA, which includes the company's retail division and Fishery Products International in Danvers, Mass.

In 1995, Decker began working in sales management for FPI, which High Liner acquired last year. Since then, he has held a number of positions, including executive VP of sales and president and COO. Under his leadership, FPI experienced profitability improvements and introduced several successful value-added product lines including Pan-Sear Selects.

In his new position, Decker is responsible for directing and managing the research, product development, sales and marketing efforts of the recently combined U.S. operating divisions.

"Keith Decker knows this industry and more importantly our customers. He has a long history of success in profitably growing seafood businesses," says Henry Demone, president and CEO of High Liner. "His leadership, combined with our innovative product offerings and solid brand equity, positions us well for continuing growth and success in our U.S. business."

High Liner Foods is one of North America's largest processors and marketers of prepared, value-added frozen seafood. High Liner's branded products are sold throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico under the High Liner, Fisher Boy® and Sea Cuisine labels, and available in most grocery and club stores.
