Bensenville, Illinois, U.S.A.-based Fortune International will be exhibiting at Seafood Expo North America for the first time at the 2022 edition of the event, taking place 13 to 15 March, 2022.
Fortune has attended Seafood Expo North America for more than 20 years but the upcoming show will mark its first time exhibiting. It will be at Booth #1433 at the expo.
In January 2022, Fortune acquired Ocean Harvest Wholesale, a Houston, Texas, U.S.A.- and Delcambre, Louisiana, U.S.A.-based seafood and shrimp processor and distributor. In September 2021, it acquired Green Bay, Wisconsin, U.S.A.-based Meat Processors Inc., just weeks after it announced the acquisition of Theodore, Alabama, U.S.A.-based CCT Logistics Inc. – a 68,000-square-foot cold storage facility. These were part of a string of seven separate acquisitions that “expanded product offerings and distribution coverage from the U.S. border with Canada to the Gulf of Mexico,” it said.
“Fortune’s SENA booth will showcase domestic shrimp produced by Fortune Gulf [of Mexico] states and Fortune Fish and Gourmet Texas and premium seafood that is thoughtfully selected and imported by Fortune Imports,” it said. "Fortune’s very own chef, Martin [Wallner] of Chef Martin Old World Butcher Shop, will be preparing an assortment of mouth-watering samples.”
Fortune International President and CEO Sean O’Scannlain said the company recently participated in the Specialty Food Association’s Winter Fancy Food Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A. and said a positive experience there gave it confidence it Seafood Expo North America can take place safely despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
