The International Boston Seafood Show (IBSS) and Seafood Processing America (SPA) will be collocated with the New England Food Show in 2010, event organizer Diversified Business Communications of Portland, Maine, announced on Tuesday.
The three-day event will be held from 14 to 16 March next year at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC).
In an e-mail to exhibitors, Mary Larkin, Diversified’s VP of seafood expositions, said the collocation presents a multitude of opportunities for IBSS and SPA exhibitors, particularly an expanded reach to a qualified audience, including regional foodservice establishments, hospitals and nursing facilities, hotel catering and sporting arenas.
Attendees will have full access to both show floors, conferences and special events, added Larkin.
Attendees to the 2009 New England Food Show included Sodexho, New England Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard University, University of Connecticut, Gillette Stadium, the New England Patriots, Aramark, Marriott, Foxwoods Casino, Doubletree, Hilton, Starwood Hotels and Crowne Plaza.
The show is sponsored by the Massachusetts Restaurant Association. Formerly called the New England Foodservice & Lodging Expo, the show took place from 22 to 24 March this year at the BCEC.
