Icelandic USA, of Newport News, Va., has introduced its Seafood Slider, a mini seafood sandwich made with Alaskan pollock.
"You see mini burgers or sandwiches popping up on a wide variety of menus, as they are so versatile and fit today's dining and economic trends," said Tom Sherman, Icelandic VP of marketing, in a press release. "The mini's are perfect to share, can double as an appetizer or entrée, address portion control without saying 'diet' and have an excellent value price point per serving. The can quickly become an important and profitable menu addition."
The 1.6-ounce sandwiches are dipped in Icelandic's new gourmet panko breading and can be baked or fried.
Icelandic USA specializes in the production and distribution of frozen fish fillets and value-added processed seafood products in North America.
