Lerøy Seafood shuffles management

Lerøy Seafood Group on Wednesday announced a series of management changes.

Ole Rasmus Møgster is retiring as chairman due to illness and requested that the board of directors elect someone to fill the position.

The Norwegian company’s largest shareholder, Austevoll Seafood, has nominated CEO Helge Singlestad for the position. As chairman of Lerøy, Singelstad would also act as chairman of Austevoll and managing director of Laco AS, Austevoll’s largest shareholder.

Lerøy has also appointed Alf-Helge Aarskog as CEO, should Singelstad be elected chairman. Aarskog is the CEO of Lerøy’s aquaculture division and would continue in his role as chairman of Lerøy aquaculture subsidiaries.

Additional restructuring within the company would include the promotion of Henning Beltestad from marketing CEO to deputy CEO.
