Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) America has replaced its regional structure in North America with an area-wide product management group to manage sales and customer service.

Former Southeast Regional VP Paul McClintock is now VP of North America sales, responsible for planning and leadership of all North American sales activities. Steve Ryan is VP of North America customer service, promoted from Midwest regional VP. Ryan will plan and direct all customer service activities.

Dennis Sheehan, VP of Atlantic services, and Jim Galligan, VP of Pacific services, will direct the activities of the North America service offices, responsible for customer and vendor relations, service performance, security and key administrative functions.

"By aligning company resources with the changing needs of our customers, MOL is well positioned to provide a greater level of customer attention and service, while concurrently improving our operational efficiency," says Thomas Kelly, executive VP and COO of MOL North America.

In addition, MOL has expanded its area operations group by creating specialized units including two coastal logistics teams responsible for optimizing asset utilization, and an area motor carrier operations group responsible for traffic management, purchasing and dispatch.
