New eco-friendly packaging for Ruby Bay line

Acme Smoked Fish Corp. has given its Ruby Bay line of smoked salmon and seafood an environmentally-friendly makeover.

The company has introduced a new package for the products that uses 30 percent less plastic, according to a release issued today.

“We’re pleased to unveil our smaller and more environmentally-friendly Ruby Bay packaging,” said Gabriel Viteri, Acme’s vice president of strategy and business development. “This improvement trails several significant and well-received Ruby Bay innovations.”

The packaging also introduces a new look for the Ruby Bay brand, which was first introduced in 2006. The new design uses a dark charcoal brand color and a new Ruby Bay logo. The products now come in three and 12-ounce sizes for convenience.

The Ruby Bay line includes 17 variations of smoked salmon flavors and species including Irish-style, Scottish-style smoked salmon, smoked wild Sockeye, and smoked wild Coho salmon.
