Charles Hostlund has been appointed CEO of Norway Royal Salmon, replacing John Binde, who announced his resignation last week.
Hostlund will take over the role by 1 October. He most recently served as regional director of Marine Harvest Norway northern region.
Hostlund has a master’s degree in fish health from the Norwegian College of Fishery Science and an MBA in financial management from the Norwegian School of Economics.
“The board is very pleased to have Hostlund on our team, and we believe his background matches our existing expertise in a very good way,” the company said, adding that it believes Hostlund will help make Norway Royal Salmon “one of the best salmon farming companies in Norway.”
“I look forward to being with the company forward, and looking at NRS as an exciting company to a significant development,” said Hostlund. “Extra interesting is also considering the role NRS seems to get the green concessions. I am excited to take on new tasks and become familiar with the company’s employees.”
