Norway Royal Salmon CEO John Binde is resigning after 10 years in the position, effective 30 September.
The company said Binde and the board of directors came to the decision together and said Binde wants to terminate his employment and “finds it right for the company that a new CEO takes over.”
“The board wants to thank Mr. Binde for his effort in leading the company through considerable changes from a trading company to an integrated publically listed salmon producer, which has created substantial values for the share holders,” the company said.
“It has been ten very exciting years as CEO with extensive changes and positive development for the company,” said Binde. “I am leaving a well operated company with very positive future outlooks, but the time is right for me now to seek new challenges.”
Binde is selling all shares in the company owned by him directly or indirectly. He will receive 12 months of severance pay and will remain at the disposal of the company throughout his period of notice.
