Norwegian salmon prices decreased 0.55 percent over the sixth week of 2023.
Prices are down NOK 0.50 (USD 0.049, EUR 0.46) week-over-week, according to the Nasdaq Salmon Index.
The weighted average index of weekly sales prices and volumes of fresh Atlantic superior salmon, head-on gutted – reported by a panel of Norwegian salmon exporters and salmon producers – found the average per-kilogram price of Norwegian salmon to be NOK 91.04 (USD 8.90, EUR 8.33).
Fish Pool reported total sales volumes for Norwegian salmon exporters in the second week of February 2023 were stable from the latest three weeks. The export price, Fish Pool reports, was NOK 93.07 (USD 9.09, EUR 8.52) higher than the Nasdaq reported prices for three- to six-pound salmon at NOK 90.081 (USD 8.80, EUR 8.24) per pound, which it attributed to low contract shares and overseas exports being priced higher.
