Peru seafood firms resume exports to Russia

A group of Peruvian seafood companies were authorized to supply the Russian market, after the government of that country decided to ban food imports from the European Union and the United States, said Peru's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur).

The National Society of Industries (SNI) pointed out that a total of 18 firms will resume exports of fish products to the European country.

The measure takes place after Russia placed a total one-year’s ban on food imports, including fish, from the European Union, U.S. and some other Western countries in response to the sanctions implemented against it over the conflicts with Ukraine.
