Sea Star Seafood of Marlborough, Mass., on Thursday announced it hired George Kouri as COO.
Kouri has a diverse background of top level, international product development, management and marketing experience, most recently as CEO and president of Avon Home Fashions.
At Sea Star, he will be involved in all areas of company operations and will focus his efforts on improving global procurement capabilities, developing and introducing new products, expanding sales distribution and working to achieve long-term strategic objectives.
The retail seafood company also announced that Sandi Hughey was named sales and marketing administrator. Hughey will work with Sea Star’s sales team, the company broker network and outside suppliers to develop and execute sales and provide support on all marketing related activities. She most recent worked for Optos as an events and marketing specialist.
