One of China’s leading long-distance fishery firms has launched two new tuna vessels for international waters.
The Pengtai Rong 316 and the Pengtai Rong 318 were launched with much fanfare by Ping Tai Rong Ocean Fishery Co. recently in the company’s home base of Zhoushan, a major port and seafood processing hub in Zheijiang Province.
A statement from the firm said the vessels had gone through six months of rigorous checks to meet the demands of the European Union market.
Ping Tai Rong Ocean Fishery Co. now has 26 long-liners and two reefers operating in international waters. The firm also runs aquaculture and food and beverage management subsidiaries.
