New Zealand provides funds to strengthen Pacific fisheries management

A funding injection confirmed by the Prime Minister of New Zealand, John Key, will provide a significant boost for a Pacific Roadmap aimed at ensuring sustainable development in Pacific Island fisheries.

Visiting Micronesia for the Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting, Prime Minister Key has announced more than NZD 12.1 million (USD 8.9 million, EUR 7.9 million) will go to support sustainable coastal fisheries and aquaculture in the region.
