Clearwater is one of North America's largest vertically integrated seafood companies and the largest holder of shellfish licenses and quotas in Canada. It fishes internationally for scallops, lobster, clams, coldwater shrimp, crab and groundfish. The company has a 10-vessel fleet that includes traditional and state-of-the-art factory vessels, fishing in Canadian and Argentine waters. It owns Glaciar Pesquera, an Argentine subsidiary that harvests and sells scallops, and has a joint venture with Clearwater Ocean Prawns, which annually harvests 15,000 metric tonnes of Canadian coldwater prawns and 2,000 metric tonnes of turbot.
