Norwegian aquaculture technology firm AKVA group is selling off some of its property in Hitra, Norway to Corvus Estate and leasing it back.
Corvus, a subsidiary of Bevest, is a real estate investment company that specializes in warehouses and the light industrial sector.
The exact financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Bevest said as part of the purchase, a purpose-built, “bare house” facility will be constructed on AKVA Group’s property in Hitra, and following its completion, the company will lease it under a triple-net lease “with a term of 13 years from handover.” Until the new facility is completed and AKVA Group moves in, AKVA Group will continue to occupy and lease an existing building on the property.
According to Bevest, the property is 35 daa, or 35,000 square meters, inside Jøsnøya, an island located in Hitra. The company said it is “one of Norway’s most important industrial clusters” for the aquaculture industry, with direct access to a quay and to marine and industrial infrastructure.
“Beyond the new facility and the existing building, the site includes substantial fully developed land with significant potential for further industrial development,” Bevest said. “The transaction is aligned with the company's strategy of building a dedicated real estate platform within logistics and light industrial, characterized by long leases and solid tenants supporting stable cash flow.”
AKVA Group reported a strong order intake in Q2 2026 and posted an increase in revenue and EBITDA in the period. AKVA Group CEO Knut Nesse said the performance across all business segments was solid, and that the company’s order backlog was almost NOK 3 billion (USD 317 million, EUR 277 million).
