– The Grimsby Fish Dock Enterprises (GFDE) has announced Simon Dwyer as the new board chair.

Dwyer formerly worked as the company’s vice chair and has moved up to the top board role after current Chair Andrew Oliver was promoted to CEO.

Besides his role at GFDE, Dwyer works as the CEO of Grimsby, U.K.-based Seafox Management Consultants. Seafox provides daily managerial services to the Grimsby Fishing Vessel Owners Association and the Grimsby Fish Merchants’ Association. Dwyer is also the CEO of the U.K. Seafood Federation.

“I'm delighted that our business, Seafox Management Consultants, can further support the Grimsby seafood cluster,” Dwyer said in a release. “Over recent years, Seafox has integrated itself into the local seafood sector and other major areas of the local economy. I look forward to working with the shareholders, directors, colleagues, customers, partners, and suppliers in ensuring we operate a safe environment, future-proof growth, and nurture new values within our business."

Dwyer’s board position was approved at the company’s last board meeting, with Grimsby Fishing Owners Association Director of Shareholders Andrew Allard calling him “an integral part of our recent change in management.”

“Simon has established leadership credentials in the global seafood industry as well as ports, logistics, and energy sectors,” Allard said in a release. “The shareholders firmly believe the new leadership team will work effectively with colleagues across our diverse business to ensure Grimsby has a first-class fish auction market, port operations, offshore wind training services, and a property portfolio ripe for expansion.”

– Bodø, Norway-based salmon-farming company Gigante Salmon announced Kristian Lorentsen as its new CEO, replacing Kjell Lorentsen in the role.

"The board is happy that Kristian Lorentsen has accepted the position of CEO at Gigante Salmon,” Gigante Salmon Chair of the Board Liv Monica Stubholt said in a release. “The company values Kristian's relevant experience, strong motivation, and the continuity of the owners' commitment to the company. The board has worked intensively on the executive appointment, and we have received support from external consultants throughout the process. The board looks forward to working with Kristian and his team.”

Kristian has worked at Gigante Salmon since the company's founding in positions ranging from fish farmer to CFO. He’s served on the board since 2024.

"I appreciate the board's confidence in me,” Kristian said in the release. “I look forward to getting started on the work of further developing the company from a strong starting point. I am convinced of the great potential the company has going forward. It is both meaningful and motivating to have the opportunity to lead Gigante Salmon. I have the coast and the seafood industry in my blood and have spent my whole life in and around salmon farming. The company's mission is to address the sustainability challenges facing the industry. This means working purposefully on the environment, fish welfare, and efficient use of resources – every day. I accepted the role because I know I will be working with a strong team whom I am
proud to call colleagues. The office can plan and manage, but it is the people at the farm who make it happen.”

Kristian will step down from the board of Gigante Salmon and resign his roles at Gigante Haybruk and the ownership structure 1 May as he takes on the CEO role. He will officially begin working in the new position on 31 July.

– Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada-based Premium Brands announced its third female director position will be filled and confirmed within six months of its 2026 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 6 May.

In a release by the company, Premium Brands added that current Premium Brands Corporate Director Kathleen Keller-Hobson will be retiring after 11 years, meaning only two of the eight board positions are filled by women. As a result, the company aims to hire a third female director within the next three months, it said in a release, maintaining its diversity policy for 30 percent of directorial board positions to be occupied by women.
