Japanese conglomgerate Nippon Suisan Kaisha, better known as Nissui, has shuffled its management, as current president Norio Hosomi has been named the company’s chairman, while Shinsuke Ohki has been promoted to president.
The changes will go into effect 28 June, according to a Reuters report, citing a company document.
The firm, based in Tokyo, is one of the world’s largest seafood traders, and owns Gorton’s, a U.S. frozen seafood company, as well as King & Prince Seafood, Unisea, and Glacier Fish Co. Its stock is publicly traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and it share price rose significantly following the announcement on Monday 15, May.
