Cousins Maine Lobster got its start on the West Coast, but its origins are undoubtedly in Maine.
Jim Tselikis (who was born and raised in Maine, and then paid a visit to the West Coast) and his cousin, Sabin Lomac (who was born in San Diego, California to a mother from Maine), connected in California in 2011 as friends, and by 2012, they were co-founders of a lobster food truck business in Los Angeles, paying homage to their Maine roots. One truck turned into an enterprise after the cousins appeared on the hit ABC series Shark Tank, and received backing from American bigwig businesswoman Barbara Ann Corcoran. The business, four years in, now operates 20 trucks out of 13 cities in the United States.
Counsins Maine Lobster serves up two lobster roll varieties: The Maine, which comes with chilled Maine lobster and a touch of mayo on a New England-style bun, and The Connecticut, which also comes with Maine lobster and a New England-style bun, but is served warm with butter and lemon.
