5 Seattle seafood dishes worth snagging

As Seattle – and rest of the world – slowly arises from a long COVID-19 hibernation, it seemed right to celebrate one of America’s most defined seafood cities, and some of their heroes.

Just walk along the docks of Seattle’s foreshore and you’ll encounter a myriad of seafood restaurants, retail outlets (such as the famous fish-throwing Pike Place Market), and fishing vessels. The commercial seafood industry accounts for just shy of 16,000 jobs in the city, and Port of Seattle writes that the city is often referred to as the “southern office of Alaska” as a significant percentage of the vessels actively fish in Alaskan waters for pollock, king crab, groundfish, salmon, and more.

There are many chefs who made their mark in the city with seafood dishes which both showcase a passion for the local seafood and dishes from around the world.

Here are 5 dishes from Seattle’s seafood focused chefs that are worth making the effort to try.
