Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.-based food company Conagra, which recently sold its Mrs. Paul’s and Van de Kamp’s brands to High Liner Foods in a deal worth USD 55 million (EUR 48 million), has expanded its line of single-serve frozen retail products in collaboration with music legend Dolly Parton.

The new line of Parton’s “comfort food” meals include Shrimp & Grits, along with Beef Pot Roast, Chicken & Dumplings, and Country Fried Steak. The meals, which can be prepared in either the microwave or oven, have a suggested retail price of USD 4.49 (EUR 3.95) each.

“I've always believed in the power of a warm, hearty meal, and now with these offerings, I'm bringing a little taste of my own Southern favorites to you," Parton said.

Conagra has partnered with Parton since 2022, when the firm released a line of baking mixes and frostings with the singer/songwriter under the Duncan Hines brand. It has since grown to include a number of products inspired by “Dolly's Southern roots,” according to the firm.

Another frozen food manufacturer highlighting shrimp in new product offerings is Auburn, Maine, U.S.A.-based Scott & Jon’s, which recently launched a Cajun-Style Shrimp Alfredo meal.

“We are excited to expand our seafood bowl lineup with more shrimp offerings because it allows us to deliver on the delicious, diverse flavor profiles today's consumers are craving,” Scott & Jon’s Co-Founder Scott Demers told SeafoodSource. "Shrimp has always been a fan favorite, and it is so versatile, which makes it great for items such as our new Cajun-Style Shrimp Alfredo.”

Additionally, the company's Baja Fish Taco Bowl and Lemon Butter Dill Salmon bowl, launched last fall, are now available in additional retail chains across the country, including Target, Sprouts, Harris Teeter, Publix, Wegmans, Market Basket, and Giant Eagle.
