Darden Recognizes King & Prince, Tuna Temple

King & Prince Seafood and Tuna Temple were among the 10 companies recognized by Darden Restaurants today for its annual William B. Darden Distinguished Supplier Awards.

The companies, selected among Darden's 1,500-plus suppliers worldwide for going "above and beyond" to contribute to the company's success, were recognized at the National Restaurant Association's Restaurant & Hotel-Motel Show in Chicago this week.

King & Prince Seafood of Brunswick, Ga., was honored for developing value-added seafood and shrimp products, which helped Darden reduce costs and simplify operations, and Tuna Temple of Laval, Quebec, was awarded for providing Darden with top-quality, cost-effective tuna while ensuring the highest levels of food safety.

"Serving more than 350 million meals annually in 1,700 restaurants across North America requires a tremendous amount of coordination and teamwork," says Barry Moullet, Darden's senior VP of supply chain. "These companies have gone beyond the execution level and been true business partners by finding ways to contribute to Darden's success through innovation and collaboration. Headquartered in Orlando, Fla., Darden operates Red Lobster, Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, The Capital Grille, Bahama Breeze and Seasons 52.
