Del Taco brings back shrimp taco

Just in time for Lent, Del Taco has announced the return of its shrimp tacos.

In addition, the Lake Forest, Calif.-based Mexican food chain has added a new twist to its shrimp line up, with the introduction of a new Baja shrimp taco and burrito.

The Baja shrimp taco is available for USD 2.19 and features crispy golden shrimp, crunchy cabbage, fresh salsa and tangy Baja sauce in a warm flour tortilla. The Baja shrimp burrito, priced at USD 3.69, features shrimp, cabbage, seasoned rice, fresh salsa and Baja sauce in a flour tortilla.

The company is also promoting the tacos by giving a free shrimp taco coupon to its Facebook fans.

“Our flavorful shrimp is something our loyal fans look forward to,” said John Cappasola, chief brand officer for Del Taco. “Our new tangy Baja sauce adds another craveable flavor option to both our taco and burrito line-up, giving our customers another reason to believe Del Taco is the place for great tasting tacos and unbeatable value.’’
