Deeside, Wales, U.K.-based grocer The Food Warehouse, as well as its parent company Iceland Foods, is expanding its Slimming World frozen meals range, including the addition of new seafood meals.

Iceland, which operates more than 950 Iceland stores and more than 185 Food Warehouse Stores, said in a press release that it has added 24 products to the range.

“Those on the lookout for a quick working lunch idea or a hearty evening meal will love the versatility of this range, which has been thoughtfully crafted to help shoppers stay on track with their wellness goals,” Iceland said.

New seafood offerings include King Prawn Bhuna, King Prawn Linguine, and Italian-Style Salmon.

Coinciding with Iceland and other grocery chains rolling out lower prices and deals to start the new year in the U.K., Iceland and The Food Warehouse are offering a three for GBP 10.00 (USD 12.50, EUR 12.00) deal and a two for GBP 8.00 (USD 10.00, EUR 9.60) deal on certain Slimming World meals.

Additionally, Iceland Foods is featuring lower seafood prices in its new Mega Deals event, which features an expanded GBP 1.00 (USD 1.25, EUR 1.20) or less range sporting over 1,000 products, as well as other price promotions such as expanding its 10 for GBP 10.00 (USD 12.40, EUR 12.05) promotion, buy two get one free, and “half-price must-haves.”

For seafood specifically, it is discounting its own-brand Breaded King Prawns – offering an eight-pack for GBP 1.00 (USD 1.25, EUR 1.20) – and Young's Chip Shop Omega-3 Fish Fillets – offering a two-pack for GBP 2.50 (USD 3.10, EUR 3.00).

Additionally, it slashed the price on a 14-pack of Bird’s Eye Fish Fingers from GBP 4.00 (USD 5.00, EUR 4.80) to GBP 2.00 (USD 2.50, EUR 2.40) and on Young's Gastro Crispy Tempura Battered Fish Fillets from GBP 4.50 (USD 5.60, EUR 5.40) to GBP 2.00.

“We know families are looking to reduce spending in all aspects of everyday life, and we know that we need to do our bit to help. January will be a struggle for millions; it’s no secret that bills are going to rise, and it’s going to hit some families extremely hard,” Iceland Executive Chairman Richard Walker said in a press release.
