Long John Silver’s introduces value menu

Looking to hook cost-conscious diners, Long John Silver’s has introduced its first ever value menu, dubbed the Dollar Stretcher Menu, comprising a dozen items priced at USD 0.99, 1.59 and 1.99 each.

The United States’ largest quick-service seafood chain is featuring the menu in TV ads nationwide.

Items priced at USD 0.99 (EUR .69) include the Jr. Fish Sandwich, Baja Fish Taco, Small Golden Fries and Six Hush Puppies; the Jr. Fish Sandwich and Baja Fish Taco are new to the menu. Items priced at 1.59 (EUR 1.11) include the Double Jr. Fish Sandwich, Four Battered Shrimp, Slice of Pie and Zesty Chicken Sandwich; the Double Jr. Fish Sandwich and Zesty Chicken Sandwich are new to the menu.

Items priced at 1.99 (EUR 1.39) include the Three Shrimp & Fries, Two Jr. Fish & Fries, Popcorn Shrimp and Chicken & Fries.

The Dollar Stretcher Menu comes about two months after Long John Silver’s launched its Baja Fish Taco, featuring batter-dipped fish in a soft flour tortilla with crunchy crumblies, lettuce and tangy Baja sauce.

Owned by Yum! Brands of Louisville, Ky., Long John Silver’s, operates more than 1,100 restaurants worldwide. Yum also operates Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut and A&W.
