Blue Horizon Organic on Monday announced that Whole Foods Market approved its gluten-free Marine Stewardship Council-certified Natural Seafood Bites for national distribution.
"We are delighted to include Blue Horizon Organic's Seafood Bites in our seafood offering," said Dave Pilat, Whole Foods' national seafood coordinator. "Blue Horizon Organic continues to lead the industry in value-added food and sustainable seafood practices- a perfect complement to the high standards we uphold at Whole Foods."
The appetizers come in boxes containing 12 pieces and are available in four varieties: salmon cake bites, crab cake bites, fish and chip bites and albacore tuna bites.
The salmon, fish and chips and tuna products are all MSC-certified.
All four products are gluten-free. Nearly 3 million Americans with celiac disease follow wheat- and gluten-conscious diets.
