Russian Fishery Company names new general director

Russian Fishery Company (RFC) has announced replaced its general director Viktor Litvinenko with Olga Naumova, starting Tuesday, 18 January.

Litvinenko will continue on with the company as a member of the management and as a general director of RFC’s subsidiary companies, according to RFC.

Naumova has been a member of RFC's board of directors since November 2019, and at Russian Crab LLC as an independent director. According to the company, she will remain in her position at Russian Crab.

“The RFC’s ambition is to become the world’s largest and most-efficient company harvesting wild white fish in five years,” RFC Board Chairman Gleb Frank said in a release. “Olga Naumova’s main objectives as general director of the RFC present the company’s key strategic priorities: commissioning of the state-of-the art fishing fleet, transition to high value-added production and sales development, improvement of efficiency of key functions and growth of labor productivity, as well as compliance of the company with the highest global standards of environmental, social, and corporate governance.”

Naumova graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University and served in a number of executive positions of Severstal and NLMC groups from 2001 to 2013. Starting in 2013, she was the head of the Pyatyorochka retail chain for five years, followed by a leadership roll at the Magnit retail chain.

Most recently, Naumova served as the general director of logistics company Lorus  and the deputy general director of Sollers PJSC.

“When making this decision we, among other things, took into account Olga Naumova’s experience in retail,” Frank said. “I am sure that under her leadership, the RFC will be able to significantly expand the sale markets for high value-added products manufactured by the new fleet.”

RFC has been increasingly focused on modernizing its fishing fleet with a new set of supertrawlers featuring modern processing equipment. The company plans to focus on more value-added products such as surimi as part of its ongoing strategic goals.
