FPI hires sales specialists

Fishery Products International on Wednesday announced it added two sales and market development professionals to its sales team.

The Danvers, Mass., company said Steve Prusank and Ned Hawkins will help FPI achieve its goal of offering broader support to foodservice distributors and operators, while developing new business opportunities in key growth segments.

Prusank joins FPI as senior director of foodservice sales. Previously, he worked 20 years for Simplot in Boise, Idaho, most recently as director of foodservice sales. He will be responsible for executing the growth strategy of FPI’s foodservice business and managing the regional sales team and extended broker network.

Hawkins is FPI’s new CN, Bid & Military Specialist. He has more than 20 years of experience in the seafood industry, and his addition will bolster FPI’s growing position in school foodservice.

“Both Steve and Ned bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to our customers and our team at FPI,” said Jim LaBelle, FPI’s VP of sales and marketing. “They already know their way around the industry and bring additional strength to an already impressive sales force. We look forward to adding their insights and segment knowledge to our own, in an effort to move FPI to the forefront of the foodservice arena. I’m confident our customers will be impressed.”

FPI is owned by High Liner Foods of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
