Pacific Seafood Group of Portland, Ore., on Thursday announced that a company subsidiary has acquired hot- and cold-smoked seafood and gourmet-food processing company Salmolux.
Salmolux annually produces millions of pounds of salmon, using a proprietary smoking process. Its products are based on traditional European smoking methods combined with fresh Pacific Northwest seafood.
“The acquisition adds to our ability to directly source and produce the finest quality hot- and cold-smoked seafood products for our customers,” said Frank Dulcich, Pacific president and CEO.
Salmolux will continue to be based in Federal Way, Wash., and the company’s management will continue to run its day-to-day operations.
