A decision made by the Vietnamese government last year to delay regulatory efforts when it comes to limiting the amount of glazing and humidity allowed in pangasius fillets has caused a bit of controversy among the countries that purchase those fillets.

“In mid-November, a leading Dutch newspaper Telegraaf picked up on a television program shown in the Netherlands in which it was claimed that pangasius fillets imported from Vietnam on sale in Dutch supermarkets were found to contain up to 30 percent water,” explained contributing editor Mike Urch.
