The 12 contenders who competed in this year’s World’s Best Lobster Roll competition, hosted by Maine’s Down East Magazine, came together on 8 July to leave it all on the line for the ultimate title a seafood-sandwich maker could ever hope to possess. And while the event, held in Portland, Maine, was thwarted by bad weather and long lines, a winner was actually crowned in 2017.
