One thing anti-salmon farming critics tend to comment on more than health risks is the potential damage salmon farms pose to the environment.

The concerns are legitimate, especially if one considers how salmon farming has been conducted in the past. But the technology, as in any field, is constantly evolving and improving and environmental risks have dropped significantly in recent years.
