Acme appoints new chief marketing officer

Teresa Low has been hired by Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A.-based Acme Smoked Fish as its new chief marketing officer, the company announced on 19 January.

Low brings more than 20 years of strategic marketing experience to the role. She comes most recently from fine wine and spirits importer and distributor Winebow, where she served as senior vice president of marketing and public relations. Prior to that, Low spent more than a decade at The Hershey Company in various leadership roles across global marketing, innovation, and business management.

In her position with Acme, Low – who has an MBA in marketing from the Haworth School of Business at Western Michigan University – will “lead strategic marketing initiatives for the trusted brand as it continues to expand,” the company said.

“We are thrilled that Teresa is joining the Acme family. Her vast experience building respected brands with business acumen and creativity will be an asset to Acme across our many initiatives ahead,” Acme Co-CEO Adam Caslow said in a press release.

The largest smoked fish manufacturer and distributor in the U.S., Acme has operations in in Brooklyn, New York; Wilmington, North Carolina; Pompano Beach, Florida; Brockton, Massachusetts; Puerto Montt, Chile; and Outrup, Denmark.

The firm’s product portfolio includes its traditional smoked fish such as smoked salmon, whitefish, black cod, and a variety of smoked fish salads, pickled herring, and specialty items, as well as innovative items such as Sashimi-Style Smoked Salmon and ready-to-eat Poke Bowls. Its products can be found nationwide in select supermarkets and independent specialty retailers.
