–Ålesund, Norway-based cod farmer Ode announced the appointment of Anders Tofte Wilhelmsen to the role of commercial director.
The appointment comes as the brand seeks to expand internationally, the company said in a release.
Most recently, Wilhelmsen served as head of sustainability and marketing at seafood company Miralex; prior to that, he was group CMO at salmon farmer Cermaq.
Ode CEO and founder Ola Kvalheim said that Wilhelmsen would be key to a “new phase of growth” at the company.
“Anders will lead our efforts to develop differentiated products and markets, strengthen customer partnerships, and build a strong commercial platform that supports long-term and sustainable expansion,” Kvalheim said.
Kvalheim added that the company aspires to move into fillets and value-added processing, as well as strengthen its brand globally.
“This is about building more than a product – it’s about building a category,” he said. “Anders brings the experience, mindset, and ambition needed to help us shape the future of cod consumption.”
Ode said that it expected to exceed 11,000 tons of traceable cod production in 2025.
–Chris Orr is the new CEO of Scotland-based Associated Seafoods.

"It’s an honor to lead a business that has built such a strong reputation for integrity, quality, efficiency, and innovation - values that I believe are not just words, but guiding principles for how we grow, adapt, and succeed together,” Orr said in the post announcing his new role.
“My vision as CEO is to strengthen what makes Associated Seafoods special: our dedication to excellence; our ability to innovate with quality ingredients; our goal to be better every day; and our belief that true success comes from working as one team. The seafood industry is evolving quickly, and I see tremendous opportunity for us to deliver even greater value to our customers, partners, and proud communities,” he added.
Associated owns three Scottish seafood producers: Lossie Seafoods, Moray, Seafoods, and Loch Fyne Oysters, which includes Hebridean Mussels, Morecambe Bay Oysters, and SeaSalter.
