Spain canned seafood certified organic

Canned seafood company Pan do Mar on Tuesday announced it was awarded a certificate from the Organic Agriculture Regulatory Council of Galicia.

The award makes the Rias Baixas, Galicia, canned seafood company Spain’s first to market certified organic canned seafood.

The certificate is valid for three years and confirms that Pan do Mar’s fishing methods are sustainable and its seafood products are fully traceable throughout the supply chain.

Among the seafood products Pan do Mar sells are light tuna, mackerel, sardines, squid and mussels.
