40 finalists selected for 2024 Seafood Excellence Global Awards

40 finalists have been selected for the 2024 Seafood Excellence Global Awards, a competition taking place at Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global in Barcelona, Spain from 23 to 25 April 2024.

The annual competition recognizes the best seafood products represented at the Expo this year. The finalists in this year’s competition represent 15 countries and will compete for two grand prizes: Best Hotel/Restaurant/Catering (HORECA) Product and Best Retail Product. Four additional awards will also be recognized for innovation, convenience, retail packaging, and seafood product line.

The winners will be announced at 18:15 on Tuesday, 23 April, at the Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue CC5, Room 5.

The 2024 finalists were selected from a pool of 85 entries by a panel of three seafood industry experts. 

The Seafood Excellence Global Awards is an extension of the Seafood Excellence North America competition, which takes place annually at Seafood Expo North America in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. Both competitions, along with the Seafood Excellence Asia Awards, are hosted by Diversified Communications, the organizer of Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America, Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global, and Seafood Expo Asia in Singapore, the latter of which takes place this year from 4 to 6 September. [Editor's note: Diversified Communications also owns and operates SeafoodSource.]
