Jacksonville, Florida, U.S.A.-based Beaver Street Fisheries (BSF) has announced a strategic partnership with North American food industry redistributor Dot Foods.

The partnership will allow BSF to enhance consumer access to less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments, which redistributors like Dot work to place with retailers whose customers want a product but who don’t have the demand for large quantities.

“Partnering with Dot Foods allows us to better meet the evolving needs of our customers,” said BSF Vice President of Supply Chain Scott Lane. “Their distribution expertise and national reach will enhance our ability to deliver quality products where and when our customers need them.”

BSF said that the partnership would mean that more BSF products would be available more frequently in more markets, thanks to what the company called “Dot’s robust logistics network.”

“For our supplier partners, this collaboration opens new opportunities to scale," BSF said in a statement. "Dot Foods' extensive distribution infrastructure and long-standing industry relationships will support wider market penetration and more efficient product movement. BSF will work closely with suppliers to ensure smooth integration and alignment with Dot’s redistribution model, maximizing exposure and sales potential.”

“This is a win-win for our entire value chain,” Lane added. “Suppliers gain access to a larger distribution network, and customers benefit from increased product availability and faster delivery. Together with Dot Foods, we are raising the bar in foodservice distribution.”

In an interview with SeafoodSource at 2025 Seafood Expo North America in Boston, Massachusetts, BSF Executive Vice President and co-owner Mark Frisch said that he was working hard to leverage technology to streamline his business.

“The biggest thing I want people to know is we are making big investments into data and technology to be able to make really fast, reliable, executable, scientifically-driven decisions for our customers, to help guide them in the right direction, so they can then make the best decisions for their menu or their counter or shelf," Frisch said.
