The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Food, Standards, and Product Safety Division (DCP) and the Department of Public Health have warned the public that Caraluzzi’s Market Italian Style Seafood Burgers have been voluntarily recalled.
The voluntary recall is due to the product being mislabeled. It includes eggs, a serious allergen, which are not declared in the recipe list.
The product was sold in four locations of Caraluzzi’s Market, Bethel, Wilton, Newton, and Danbury, between 18 February and April 2. It is wrapped in clear packaging with blue overwrap, and has an expiration date of 16 January 2026.
Consumers who have purchased the recalled Italian Style Seafood Burgers are asked to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of the product.
