San Quan launches kids-focused cod, salmon seafood dumpling range in China

San Quan, one of China’s leading frozen foods companies, is promoting a range of foods for children featuring imported cod, salmon, and imported and domestic shrimp.

The products are being sold in traditional dumplings, which have long been a staple of the frozen and convenience food sector in China but have to date been a largely low-cost product. San Quan’s new range is targeted at a higher price point, with 300-gram boxes priced CNY 23.20 (USD 3.49, EUR 2.97) at Beijing supermarket chain Jingkelong.

The cod dumplings are marketed on their packaging as being ideal for developing children’s brain power and healthy bodies.

San Quan is based in Zhengzhou, capital of the central province of Henan, China’s most populous province and the center of the country’s frozen foods industry.
