Vinh Hoan,Vietnam’s leading pangasius exporter, raised its export value in November through increased sales to the United States and China.
The company exported VND 912 billion (USD 39.7 million, EUR 35.3 million) worth of seafood products in the month, up 38 percent from November 2020, Vinh Hoan said in its latest update.
The U.S. remained the company's most-important market, with sales valued at VND 415 billion (USD 18 million, EUR 16 million) in November 2021, up 68 percent year-on-year and accounting for 45.5 percent of the firm's total sales.
Vinh Hoan's exports to China also recovered in the month, with sales growing 4 percent year-on-year to VND 158 billion (USD 6.9 million, EUR 6 million).
The value of Vinh Hoan's European exports, however, declined 3 percent year-on-year to VND 88 billion (USD 3.8 million, EUR 3.4 million).
The company’s sales to its remaining markets rose 49 percent year-on-year to VND 252 billion (USD 11 million, EUR 9.8 million).
Vinh Hoan earned VND 617 billion (USD 26.8 million, EUR 23.9 million) from pangasius product exports in November, a growth of 30 percent year-on-year. Its byproducts sales in the month also surged 53 percent year-on-year to VND 175 billion (USD 7.6 million, EUR 6.8 million) while its wellness product exports increased 24 percent year-on-year to VND 52 billion (USD 2.3 million, EUR 2.0 million).
Compared with October, the company's export value in November went up 17 percent, with sales to the U.S. contracting but the value of the exports to China, Europe, and other markets growing, Vinh Hoan said.
In November, its Sa Giang subsidiary posted sales value of VND 47.47 billion (USD 2 million, EUR 1.84 million), up 31 percent from October. Those sales comprised VND 10.3 billion (USD 448,000, EUR 398,000) from Vietnam, 4 percent higher month-on-month; and VND 25 billion (USD 1.1 million, EUR 968,000) from Europe, jumping 50 percent from October.
Sa Giang’s shrimp chips sales also rose 33 percent month-on-month to nearly VND 31 billion (USD 1.35 million, EUR 1.2 million) in November.
