Grant Mirick→ Director of Seafood Operations for the Aleutian Pribilof Island Community Development Association (APICDA) ◊ APICDA, a Western Alaska Community Development Quota Corporation that receives quotas for groundfish, halibut and crab, has named Grant Mirick as its new director of seafood operations. In his new position Mirick will be in charge of quality, production and sales for all of the organization’s vertically integrated companies.
“Grant is going to be a good fit for APICDA. He has all the practical experience necessary in the industry to succeed in his new role and embraces our charitable purpose to strengthen the local economies of our member communities,” APICDA CEO Larry Cotter said. “Grant is well prepared to meet the challenges of this position that oversees APICDA’s subsidiaries that include Cannon Fish Company, APICDA Vessels, Inc., Bering Pacific Seafoods and Atka Pride Seafoods.”
Career Highlights: Served as vice president of operations at Seattle-based Welmar Pacific; spent 13 years with the Kodiak Salmon Packer’s facility in Larsen Bay, Alaska.
