Chinese fish feed and aquaculture producer Guangdong Evergreen Feed Industry Co. had its most profitable year ever in 2017, company chairman Chen Dan said.
Chen spoke at the company’s annual party, a gathering traditionally organized in the run-up to Chinese New Year. He did not give specific figures regarding the company’s performance.
Evergreen got a public relations boost in October 2017 when it was named the winner of the F3 (Fish-Free Feed) Challenge, a contest to develop and sell the most fish-free feed for aquaculture. For its victory, Evergreen received a prize of USD 200,100 (EUR 169,981) on 4 October at the Global Aquaculture Alliance’s GOAL 2017 conference held in Dublin, Ireland.
In addition to aquaculture feed, Evergreen is also a significant player in shrimp production.
