Silver Bay Seafoods names new CEO

Salmon processor Silver Bay Seafoods announced that it has named Cora Campbell, its chief external affairs officer, as its new president and CEO.

Campbell’s appointment to the position replaces CEO Richard Riggs and company co-founder and president Troy Denkinger. Prior to her appointment Campbell served as president and CEO of Siu Alaska Corporation, and previously she served as the commissioner of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

According to a press release, Riggs – who had been with the company since its founding in 2007 – will remain a managing partner, overseeing all sales and related activities.

“Cora is the right person to lead Silver Bay into our next chapter, as Richard and I take on more focused roles,” Denkinger said in the release. “Silver Bay has always prioritized finding the best team to serve our fishermen, and Cora’s skills and experience in fisheries management, policy, and business make her uniquely qualified to lead our company.”
