USDA seeks to buy more than a million pounds of catfish

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is asking suppliers to bid on 1.26 million pounds of catfish. The USDA is looking to purchase both raw unbreaded catfish fillets and oven-ready, breaded catfish strips for use in its National School Lunch Program and other Federal Food and Nutrition Assistance Programs, the agency said in a notice.
