Portland, Maine, U.S.A.-based supplier Bristol Seafood welcomed new professional talent to its team this month, hiring four individuals in an expansion of the company’s sales and customer service divisions.
The company hired new customer service manager in Stephanie Monks, formerly of Emery Waterhouse, where she held the role of project manager/retail services manager for 18 years. Monks, whose hiring was announced on 17 September, said she’s looking forward to working for a Maine-based business like Bristol.
“I am thrilled to be part of a growing Maine-based company that focuses on honesty and high-quality products,” she said in a press release.
“Our customers choose to work with Bristol not just for our trusted, quality, and storied products, but also for the level of customer service we deliver. I am pleased to have Stephanie lead the charge as we continue our work of delighting customers with timely, thoughtful and responsive service,” Bristol Vice President of Sales Dana Bartholomew said.
Bristol also saw its sales team grow in a major way this month, announcing on 19 September that four new business development managers had been hired. Among the new sales team additions are former Handy Seafood employees Shawn DuBose in the Midwest, Chris Hinson in the South, and Kimberly Moore in the Mid-Atlantic. John Pierce, who most recently led sales at IncredibleFresh Seafood, was also hired by Bristol to cover the Northeast region.
The new sales crew joins James Benson (West Coast) and Alane Riley (Southeast) in supporting Bristol’s continued growth, according to the company.
“We are committed to finding the very best distribution partners and supporting them in-market to drive their growth and success. Our business development managers are the front line of this work, and I am pleased to lead such a terrific group,” said Bartholomew.
Founded in 1992, Bristol Seafood specializes in the sale of its select core species, including scallops, long-line caught Norwegian haddock, Alaskan cod, and wild Maine mussels. The company became the first to earn a Fair Trade certification for seafood harvested in U.S. waters in 2017, and was named “Business of the Year” by the City of Portland, Maine last year as well.
