Wanted: feedback

In the blink of an eye, month No. 1 of the redesigned SeafoodSource.com has come and gone. As the editorial team catches its breath and looks ahead to April and beyond, I'd like to remind our readers what the Web site has to offer - I don't want you to miss anything.

Monday marks the debut of blogs and discussions, which provide our readers with an outlet to contribute to SeafoodSource.com. Check out the first blog entry, submitted by Australian seafood industry veteran Roy Palmer and dubbed "Snippets from Down Under." It's featured in the bottom right corner of the home page .

There is certainly no shortage of opinions among seafood professionals. So if you're looking to sound off on a particular subject or just share an experience with fellow SeafoodSource.com readers, e-mail [email protected] and we'll find a vehicle for you to make your voice heard.

Adjacent to the blogs and discussions is a scrolling list of aggregate, or wire, news stories from around the world. Updated every weekday, these news stories supplement our staff-written news stories, which anchor the Web site at the top of the home page. Between the two, you're receiving up to 20 news stories per weekday - all for free.

Market reports, which are found between aggregate and staff-written news in the middle of the home page, are updated weekly. This week's market report details the black tiger shrimp market, which has turned the corner after bottoming out in late 2008-early 2009.

SeafoodSource.com also features a supplier directory of seafood companies, equipment manufacturers and service providers from around the globe. Updated regularly, the directory is the site's second-most popular area following the news. Basic listings are free. For information on premium listings, e-mail [email protected] .

No matter what your involvement in seafood is, the economic crisis is forcing you to be more efficient and do more with less. Time is money, and every penny counts. That's why SeafoodSource.com is your best source for seafood industry news - it's timely, comprehensive and, better yet, free.

Do yourself a favor and make viewing SeafoodSource.com part of your daily work routine.

Best regards,
